Obama's Ground Game
Evaluating the ground games by the numbers is tricky. Obama has 117 field offices across the state, a number his aides point to as a sign of strength here. Romney has 40 offices, but his campaign officials believe the number of door-knocks is a better indication of which team is winning. They say they surpassed the millionth knock on the eve of early voting.
117 vs. 40. That’s a hard difference to make up.
